‘On Tuesday 4th July, I was in Swansea, where Surfability are based. I was assisted into the wetsuit that was loaned to me. And then I was helped onto a beach buggy. This enabled me to get onto the beach and up to the surf. I was then gently placed onto the seated surfboard. Then I went off into the sea with Ben. He took me out a little distance and then we waited for a good wave. When one came in we surfed. Ben would quickly climb on the back behind the chair that I sat in, and off we went catching the waves. This was thrilling. I was very excited. I was thinking that after all this time I am finally here, actually surfing. I had the best time. Rachel.’
