    Mid Sussex Marlins junior swimmers wishing to compete progress up the competitive squads:

    • Mini Squad – Preparation for competitive swimming, competing in individual meets and competitions
    • County Squad – Competing for the Marlins and individually, aiming for Sussex County standard
    • Regional Squad – Competing for the Marlins and individually, aiming for South East region standard
    • National Development Squad – Competing for the Marlins and individually, aiming for Age Group National standard
    • National Squad – Competing for the Marlins and individually, aiming for Youth National standard

      • Swimmers in the competitive squads are expected to regularly attend training sessions and make themselves available for squad championships, Sussex League and the National Swimming League
