Mid Sussex Marlins are always looking for new coaches and teachers and there are lots of courses that enable you to get involved and trained up. This will not only enable you to get more involved in the club but also can lead to getting paid for your contribution to the swimming club. Current Vacancies (May 2011) Assistant Coach (2 vacancies): These are paid positions. Please see out advert on the ASA website: Marlins Vacancies. Applicants must be qualified at level 2 or above and have coaching experience in a competitive environment. Coaches should expect to work with Training Groups and/or Teaching Groups s well as squads. Offers for parts of these sessions are welcome. There may also be opportunities to volunteer for Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the near future. Poolside Assistants: for any teaching group sessions. You will be working with and under the direction of a qualified teacher. No previous experience is required. Trainee Teachers: If you want to qualify as a swimming teacher we will fund your training in return for a commitment to teach for the club.

To train as a teacher you should be at least 16 at the end of your training course.
