On Saturday May 20th, I will be walking the Moonwalk (26.2 miles overnight) with two good friends Fiona & Tracy, in loving memory of their very special friend, Sue Farnworth. Sue’s children used to swim with Burgess Hill SC back in the 90’s and she helped run the Club Shop for several years. Sadly, Sue was diagnosed with breast cancer some years ago, and following treatment, was cancer free until December 2021. Despite further treatment, Sue lost her battle with the disease, and tragically passed away in May 2022. We want to honour Sue by Walking the Walk and raising money to help prevent others from going through similar battles, and to also raise awareness of the work that Walk the Walk do.
