On Sunday 2nd October, ten Marlins Para-Swimmers took part in the Leatherhead Swans Gala at Dorking Leisure centre. This was the first team gala they have taken part in since before Covid, so there was much excitement as the event got underway. Altogether, there were five teams in action, with swimmers of all ages and abilities.
The Marlins team consisted of Richard Sambrook, Mark Williams, Kate Bentley, Matthew McMillan, Domenico Capaldi-Drewett, Olly Challis, Marley Challen, Lorenzo Lynch, Harry Massey and Jasper Thornton-Jones. There were many excellent swims throughout the evening, with all swimmers coming home with at least one medal, some with several, and most swimmers achieving some excellent PB’s. It was great to see our youngest members of the team do so well, and all are looking forward to the next competition.
