John Boyden Gala

Thank you all so much for attending and supporting the very special John Boyden Trophy Gala at The Triangle on Saturday evening.

It was exactly what the gala was designed for; an opportunity for our younger swimmers to gain experience and have fun.

As you know, Mid Sussex Marlins are donating all profits from the event to Haywards Heath Lions to continue the valuable work they do. We are pleased to announce that we will be sending across a cheque for £250.

Congratulations to Eastbourne who secured the John Boyden Trophy!  Congratulations to Atlantis who won both the Girls and the Boys 11-and-under 50m Butterfly and took away the Jim Eatwell Trophy and the Dave Risby Trophy.  The squadron relay was won by Worthing on the night who were awarded The Adrian Bowen Trophy. Congratulations to you all – some fantastic swimming!

Thank you all again for your attendance and support, without which the event would not have been possible.  For any of you interested in continuing to support Haywards Heath Lions, registration will open in January for their annual Swimarathon https://www.hhlionsswim.co.uk/

A special thank you to Graeme Edwards who was presented an award for his dedication and knowledge in running our galas as our Open Meet Secretary.

The award was presented to him by our newly appointed chairman, Darren Humphreys
