Help continue the Marlins success story

A message from our Chairman…..

Mid Sussex Marlins has had a very successful year.  This success is measured in terms of our competitive achievements, in the vibrancy of our swimming community and in our ability to give all our members the greatest opportunity to enjoy swimming at all levels.  We are a growing club, run by volunteers who are invaluable to our success.
We are always looking for new volunteers to help us run all areas of the club.  Whether you are a new volunteer or someone with more to give to the club, we urge you to have a chat or to contact us to see how you can become more involved in supporting our success.
There are many ways you can be involved and we will provide you with all the support and training you need to enjoy and contribute as part of the team.  We are looking for volunteers in many areas including (to name just a few)…
  • Swim teachers and coaches (full training will be given to obtain Swim England qualifications)
  • Event officials (timekeepers and judges) and support team members
  • Poolside support team members
  • Team managers
  • Club kit shop, social media and external communications
  • Gala and event coordinators
We are also looking for someone with specific IT and systems experience who can support us on the review of our current systems, to recommend and help deliver changes that will improve the systems we use to manage the club, including events, gala entries, timing etc..
Additionally, we have openings for up to three individuals to help guide the club’s future as new Board Members.  We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and with a wide variety of skills and specialisms to complement the current Board Members.  In particular, we are looking for a Company Secretary and would also welcome applicants with experience or interest in event management, coordinating volunteers, communications and line management.  Most importantly we are looking for enthusiasm and commitment to working as part of a team to ensure the future success of the club.
Taking on a Board position carries responsibilities and it’s not right for everyone.  If you have any questions, please speak to a Board Member about the commitment required.  We will want to talk this through properly with you before you apply, to ensure you have the right skills and enthusiasm for the role.
If you have the desire to give more to the Mid Sussex Marlins community, please contact us to have a chat and see what we can do together to ensure the continued success of the club.
